Beta #2 was 170 at 17 days past IUI. Her first Beta was 36 4 days ago so doubling every 2 days we were looking for at least 144 or better. They will be doing another beta on Friday. We need that one to be 680 or more. I hear about all these Beta numbers that are so much higher at this stage. Of course just about everyone I know are having multiples, but I just hope these aren't low.
The nurse was able to calm her down a little, but I think this is going to be the norm for her for a while.
That's about it for now. Good thoughts only for a healthy 9 months and healthy baby!!

I plugged your numbers into the HCG calculator at http://babymed.com/tools/pregnancy/hcg and everything looked normal. Maybe seeing the graph on this site will help ease her mind.
ReplyDeletecrossing fingers and toes that all continues to go well for yoyu both..
ReplyDeleteMaddening and terrifying isn't isn't it??? It doesn't matter if the numbers are low as long as they keep doubling and yours are! Hold tight and try to stay calm and positive. That's my new mantra - calm and positive. Wishing all things good for you.
ReplyDeleteI could not even read this post for a few minutes, just sat staring at the name of the post. I was willing the words to be happy when I finally followed your link. And they were!!! Whew! If this was my response to what you guys are facing, I can only imagine how frightening each moment must be for you. So take a few deep breaths, K's numbers look great and your baby is safely nestled inside. :)
ReplyDeleteThe numbers look great! Please tell K to just breathe and enjoy this journey. Trust me when I say that I know this is sometimes easier said than done but her numbers are doubling so that is wonderful!I have friends who had numbers that were frighteningly low/not doubling and suddenly those numbers shot up like crazy and they went on to have beautiful healthy babies. Positive thoughts, positive thoughts, positive thoughts...I'll be watching and praying for you two!!!!
ReplyDeleteDoubling numbers are doubling numbers and K has them! You two are pregnant. I know it's hard not to compare, but just remember every baby is unique.
ReplyDeleteHold on and I hope Beta #3 comes soon.
Great numbers! I know it's hard not to worry, but all seems to be going just right so far. Here's to more doubling numbers on Friday!
ReplyDelete170 is great!!!! yeah all the betas lately have been for multiples, so i wouldnt put much stock in those. It sounds like youre right on track with where they want you to be...in fact, your beta is even higher than they want. Keep us posted, but things sound great so far! And I wish i could say the worrying will stop, but i STILL worry at 25 weeks. after the trauma we've all been through, it's hard to relax no matter how normal things seem. :-S
ReplyDeletewow - you are both doing so well, considering all this scary stuff- the whole numbers game, etc. If it was me I would be a basket case: please just take some rest and relaxation time and try to focus on the positive- it is great numbers for a singleton and we'll all be cheering you on to more doubling next time. Big hugs and take care of each other:)
ReplyDeleteWe're sending multiplying thoughts your way! I'm so glad you all had another good beta.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you both and sending doubling thoughts your way!
ReplyDeletei was looking back on our numbers to give you a comparison but our doc did them on day 12 and 19 so, very different. they sound great to me! this next one should give you a minute to relax!
